HAMILTON, OH - Sojourner Recovery Services, Inc. has been a leader in drug/alcohol treatment since 1984 and has been recognized for its successful serves.  Sojourner has always believed that treatment is the best approach to dealing with alcoholism and drug abuse.  In the effort, Sojourner has recently created the DUI ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST service to help identify those who truly are in need of treatment for their addiction.

DUI Assessment Specialist is a unique service providing alcohol and drug evaluations via the telephone and internet.  The service will offer a more convenient and confidential method of assessing a persons alcohol or other drug use.  This service provides licensed and Certified Addiction Counselors who complete a person’s evaluation via phone or through the internet and is designed specifically for DUI Offenders.

The entire process is completed in the privacy of a person’s home, office or from their attorney’s office.  It’s fast and accessible and doesn’t require a waiting list for an appointment.  More importantly, it’s confidential.

Since the evaluation is conducted over the phone or internet; there is less chance of the assessment being influenced by personal attributes, such as race, gender, religion, age or disability.  This service provides a bias-free evaluation.

DUI Assessment Specialist can determine if a person made a one-time mistake; by having one extra glass too many at dinner or if the person has an addiction and in need of treatment versus jail time.

“We realize people live very busy lives and convenience and confidentiality are very important issues when dealing with a potential addiction problem.”  commented Amy Erhardt, President/CEO of Sojourner Recovery Services.  “This service is provided so that those needing help can do so without the stigma attached.  They can be assessed in the privacy of their homes, officer or whatever location is best for them.  Since resources are limited; there is no waiting list for this service and it can be provided immediately without missing work or creating scheduling conflicts.  The ultimate goal is to help our community by lessoning the stress to individuals and the treatment system as a whole.”  Ms. Erhardt added.
